‘The Walking Dead’ Broke Its Own Season Finale Ratings Record

This just in: AMC’s zombie show is pretty popular.

For the fourth season in a row — so, all of them, minus the first, obviously — The Walking Dead set a new season finale ratings record. Not only that, but every episode this season, dating back to October 2014, ranked in the “top 50 telecasts across all of television among adults 18-49.”

The season five finale of The Walking Dead last night was the highest-rated finale in series history, delivering 15.8 million viewers and 10.4 million adults 18-49. The episode capped the show’s strong fifth season with all 16 episodes ranking in the top 20 entertainment telecasts across all of television this broadcast season among adults 18-49.
