Fox Wins Sunday Ratings Among Broadcasters


On a Sunday night filled mostly lacking in firstrun material, Fox’s six animated reruns lifted the network to a primetime victory among adults 18-49.

Fox was the only English-language broadcaster to break a 1.0 rating Sunday in the 18-49 demo. CBS, however, was tops in total viewers with 5.3 million, more than 80% higher than runners-up Fox or ABC.

According to preliminary nationals from Nielsen, Fox’s pair of “Family Guy” repeats at 9 p.m. (1.7 rating/5 share in 18-49, 3.6 million average viewers for the hour) filled the top two slots on the primetime chart, followed by “The Simpsons” (1.4/5, 3.2 million) at 8 p.m. and “Bob’s Burgers” (1.3/4, 2.9 million) at 8:30.

Sunday’s best-performing non-Fox program was CBS’ “60 Minutes” (1.0/4, 8.4 million), which topped the 7 p.m. hour ahead of ABC’s “America’s Funniest Home Videos” (1.0/4, 5.0 million).
